Yeah, you read that right… Sir Terry Wogan and Aled Jones have teamed up to record their own version of popular Christmas hit “Peace On Earth/Little Drummer Boy” – originall sang by Bing Crosby and David Bowie in 1977 shortly before Crosby’s death.

The single, recorded at Abbey Road Studios will be released on the 8 December and all the proceeds will go to the BBC charity Children In Need.

The two BBC Radio 2 presenters had a lot of fun making it: “we’re having a lot of fun helping raise money for Children in Need,” said Aled, who also commented that the recording was “fantastically surreal.”

Children In Need raised £21m a couple of weeks ago and organisers are hoping that the final total will beat last years £37m raised.
