Franz Ferdinand’s third album will be released in January.

The album, entitled ‘Tonight: Franz Ferdinand’ will be released on 26th January in the UK and 27th January in the US. The album’s title was inspired by the lead singer, Alex Kopranos, imagining the name of the band on the side of a marquee on a night of a performance.

He told the NME that “It’s music for the dancefloor, (or) your bedroom as you psyche yourself up to go out, (or) a stranger’s bedsit coming down an hour before dawn.”
